The Water Element: Understanding Your Child's Learning Style, Mother's Influence, and Curiosity.
In this post, I will summarize chapter 6 pages 60-69, of "The Wisdom of Your Child's Face" by Jean Haner— Emphasis: The Water Element Facial Features- Hair and Forehead
Hair and Hairline
In Chinese face reading, the hairline symbolizes the mother's influence, particularly in teaching socialization and survival in society. While mothers need to guide their children, excessive influence can lead to adults who struggle with independence and finding their own path, often seeking approval and feeling overwhelmed by rules. A perfectly rounded, oval hairline with faint hairs along the edge indicates a heavy mother's influence, emphasizing the need for mothers to provide gentle guidance rather than excessive control.
Classic Water people are characterized by thick, wavy hair, while curly hair is associated with the Fire Element.
A straight hairline across the forehead indicates a rule-breaking, rebellious child who may challenge authority. If it curves inward at the temples, it suggests slightly more aggressive tendencies. While dealing with this temperament as a parent can be challenging, it's important to recognize the child's potential to become a paradigm shifter and positively impact the world, as their drive and determination can be beneficial in adulthood.
A widow's peak refers to a V-shaped hairline in the middle of the forehead, often associated with creativity, seductive charm, and a magnetic personality that captivates others from an early age.
An "expansive mind" hairline is characterized by a diagonal recession of hair at the corners of the hairline, indicating a child with an open-minded nature, a curiosity for unconventional ideas, and the ability to think outside linear boundaries. These children demonstrate a balanced use of logic and intuition, often displaying a combination of step-by-step problem-solving followed by intuitive leaps to find solutions without the need for exhaustive analysis.
Rounded Upper Forehead
A rounded upper forehead in children indicates a highly imaginative and creative nature, intuitive or psychic abilities, and potential interest in spirituality. Older children with this feature may explore practices like meditation, study philosophical concepts like Taoism, or engage in mystical arts like magic. It signifies a connection to ancestral traits and talents, underscoring the need to nurture these inclinations in children. The curvature of the forehead correlates with greater creativity, expressed through art, storytelling, and unique perspectives of the world. This feature also suggests a highly intuitive nature, including the possibility of psychic abilities. While younger children may not be able to articulate their inner experiences spiritually, they may demonstrate an innate ability to perceive patterns and connections in everyday objects, exemplified by seeing smiley faces in garage door handles or discovering maps of the world in the stucco of their house.
Curved Upper Forehead
Children with curved upper foreheads show a strong connection to their ancestral lineage, leading to inherited talents and interests from their forebears. Children may display skills passed down through generations, like music, woodworking, or love for native cuisine. They might also be interested in maintaining relationships with older family members or exploring their family history through genealogy. Understanding the significance of ancestral influence can help address behavioral issues and foster a deeper sense of identity and fulfillment for children as they grow.
Protrusions on either side of the forehead indicate the influence of one parent or side of the family, while protrusions on both sides but not in the middle suggest that both parents have distinct impacts. Highly rounded foreheads in the center indicate a harmonious blending of traits from both sides. Embracing and nurturing these connections can lead children to a richer and more fulfilling life as they grow.
Forehead shapes may change as children grow, and each shape holds a specific meaning. However, not having a curved upper forehead doesn't imply a lack of ancestral connection or love; it may indicate that the child will pave their unique path in life, free from carrying forward family karma.
Slanted, Low and High Foreheads
A forehead slanted back from the brow is called a "dealmaker's forehead, " indicating a person skilled at finding solutions, and many successful entrepreneurs have this feature. For example, a child with this characteristic may be adept at brainstorming creative ideas to make situations come together successfully or strike deals by finding ways to bring everyone into agreement. Similarly, children with low foreheads a noticeably short distance between hairline and eyebrows, tend to learn best in hands-on settings. In contrast, those with high foreheads thrive in analytical learning environments, and it's ideal to only push these young ones into trying something after providing a thorough explanation beforehand. These facial features don't determine intelligence, only preferred learning styles.
In my upcoming blog, I will thoroughly touch on the water features, under eyes, philtrum, and chin. I will discuss their characteristics and importance.
Helping your child identify their strengths and embracing these gifts can profoundly impact their lives, boosting their self-esteem and fostering a deeper sense of connection to their ancestral lineage, even if it may not seem immediately logical or practical.
